Be Careful on Black Friday (and Don’t Miss Out What Matters)

If you want to buy SaaS tools to build your online business, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are kinda like Goldrush. You can save thousands by grabbing lifetime deals and massive discounts on your favorite tools.

I wait for Black Friday for an entire year. Because I know if I could hold myself to this day, I can save over $2000 every year that I would have to spend on recurring costs of tools otherwise.

Here are the six Black Friday deals I picked in 2020 as a solo entrepreneur.

The Critical Business Tools I Bought on Black Friday 2020

ConvertKit (now Kit)

The most advanced email marketing software got even better on Black Friday. In 2020 it was free for the first 1,000 subscribers, so it was already a no-brainer. Kit’s free plan now covers up to 10,000 subscribers, which is enough to build an email list from scratch before you pay anything.

ConvertKit helps you create beautiful emails, run your email marketing on God-mode, and sell through emails on autopilot. It even comes with Stripe checkout that can help you sell digital products.

On Black Friday 2020, you could upgrade from free to premium for less than $199/yr. That was less than $19/mo for everything I needed to sell digital products, coaching or courses.

A2Hosting

If you are tired of poor hosting services that come with no support, slow-loading pages and terrible experience, A2Hosting was my answer in 2020. It now runs under the Hosting.com name.

After using A2 for four years, I knew I did the right thing to move on.

On Black Friday 2020, you could host unlimited websites for as little as $3/mo.

Teachable

If you want to share your passion by teaching people online, Teachable is an incredible platform. You can create beautiful online courses and automate every part of it without becoming a tech genius.

It is a stunning platform with recommendations from top creators like Pat Flynn.

The 2020 Cyber Monday and Black Friday deal was 50% OFF any of their plans. Teachable now starts at $29 a month billed annually, and it still beats Skool on quizzes and certificates.

Frase

Frase is a lifesaver for entrepreneurs who want to grow their business organically on Google and YouTube. It is an advanced, artificially intelligent writing tool that helps you develop high-quality content without doing all the manual research.

You can spy on what is working for your competitors and do better than them. Write better blogs or create better videos than competitors and outsmart them with Frase.

On Black Friday 2020, AppSumo sold lifetime access to this tool instead of the $39 monthly plan. That deal has ended.

ProWritingAid

If you are anyone like me, you might be making tens of mistakes while writing in English. And ProWritingAid is going to save your embarrassing mistakes by automatically proofreading.

ProWritingAid is a “better” alternative to Grammarly for some writers, because its detailed reports suit book-length projects. In 2020 the deal came with LIFETIME access to a grammar editing tool, plagiarism checker and automatic proofreader.

On Black Friday 2020, you could get ProWritingAid at 50% OFF for lifetime.

KWFinder from Mangools

I love organic traffic because I don’t have to waste money on ads for it. And my blogs bring traffic for months for my one-time effort.

KWFinder helps you discover “low competition” keywords that people are searching online. Once you find what people are searching for online, all you need to do is write content about it better than what’s already written. (Use Frase for it ;)

KWFinder can help you get floodgates of high-quality traffic to your blogs, websites, and funnels through search engines.

On Black Friday 2020, you could get KWFinder at a 25% lifetime discount on monthly plans. (I waited for this because alternative tools like SEMrush that do the same job cost $99/mo back then.)

What You Need to Build an Online Business as a Solo Entrepreneur

If you are wondering what Black Friday deals are best for entrepreneurs and marketers, here they are. You don’t need a lot of things to build an impactful and profitable online business.

Here is my recommendation.

Get a “good” website hosting (A2Hosting, now Hosting.com, was my pick in 2020), because the speed and experience of your website matter.

Pick an email marketing software that can help you automate your marketing. Nothing is better than FREE with ConvertKit (now Kit).

Use a keyword research tool so you can create content easily without falling into competition. KWFinder is best.

If you are selling online courses, you can go for Teachable.

Frase is optional. I used it because it saved my time doing the research and writing. Truly a killer tool at a lifetime deal.

Finally, ProWritingAid is also optional. If you want to save time on proofreading and want to make fewer mistakes in everyday writing, you can pick ProWritingAid.

Once you get the gadgets, it’s time to take action. The tools I use and recommend now sit on one page.
